The great thing about starting your own inflatable
hire business is that it doesn't cost a fortune to set up, you can run it part time from home and bearing
in mind the majority of your business will be at weekends, you can continue in your current employment.
This negates the financial risks normally associated with starting your own business so it may be just
what you're looking for.

THE ULTIMATE BOUNCE HOUSE BUSINESS
GUIDE

Like all new ventures, it's
very important to "dip your toe
in" so to speak. In other words you do not rush out
and buy 20 bouncy castles, inflatable slides or sumo suits. The key is to start small, see if it's for
you and then gradually build from the profits if you can see potential. Don't run before you can walk.
You may decide that by remaining small, you are able to undercut the competition. Remember the larger the
business, the more headaches you take on and in this game, biggest does not necessarily mean more
profit!
I used to work in a major high street bank, managing
a team of financial advisers and although the money was good, the hours and the stress really took its
toll. My wife was expecting our first child so we knew that money was going to be tight due to the fact
that she had to give up work and of course, there was an extra mouth to feed. Apart from trawling through
all the usual "money making" schemes on the internet as we all do, we were at a loss for something to do.
The franchises on offer needed a fortune to start and besides, I wanted something part time not full time
with more pressure.
The funny thing is that when you're keen to find
something and you are open-minded to new ideas, something always turns up. A good friend of ours, a
hairdresser, knew another family who hired out inflatables, something we had never considered before.
They were closing down and moving onto something else and although we had missed out on buying their
stock, they did allow us to pop round and pick their brains about the business. The information was
invaluable so we took their advice, started with four themes recommended by them, advertised in the
Yellow Pages, a local newspaper and the internet then waited for the phone to ring.
And ring it did, again and again and again. We were
willing to drive anywhere to build up our business but of course, you learn from your mistakes. It was
really a practice session about setting up, talking to customers, selling ourselves and basically
learning the ropes. As this was only a part time income, we did'nt care, just get the booking was our
motto.
After a few months, we expanded our stock to eight
units. Now bear in mind at this stage, I was delivering from my car so we had to be careful not to
overbook but with a bit of juggling, save up enough money to buy our first van. Within two years, I had
packed in my full time job and was living off the castles.
Today we hire out nearly 20 inflatables including
some for the adults but my main "bread & butter" is still children's parties. They are the ones that
come back to you year after year, providing you give a good service. You may find this difficult to
believe but I still enjoy it, over 13 years on. Partly because it's my own but mainly because you arrive,
the people are pleased if not relieved to see you, you set it up, you take the money and you leave.
SIMPLE!
I have never written a book before but in this case
I saw an opportunity to help other people, perhaps in the same boat as me, to consider something new. But
rather than make all the mistakes I made, this ebook gives you the blueprint to follow in an easy to
understand format. Keep things simple!
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck,
particularly at the moment with a pretty gloomy worldwide economy. Everyone needs extra cash but mums and
dads will always find a way to have a party for their loved ones and what better and cheaper way to
entertain than with an inflatable or bounce house.
